Description

The Tahitian Pearl Necklace | Formed by the Sea

Born from the pristine lagoons of French Polynesia, these extraordinary Tahitian pearls, create an elegant highly coveted piece from Sarah Cornwell. Unlike any other pearl, Tahitian pearls form naturally in shades of midnight black, peacock green and deep aubergine--colors the ocean creates and no jeweler can replicate.

Each pearl is hand-knotted on gray silk in our Doylestown studio. This artisanal construction ensures a fluid, liquid-like drape that allows the necklace to sit comfortably against the skin. Whether worn as a stunning standalone piece or used to add a touch of luminosity to a necklace stack, the Tahitian pearl is a piece you will reach for again and again.

  • The Pearls: Hand-selected, natural freshwater Tahitian pearls with high luster.

  • The Design: Hand-knotted on silk for a secure, graceful, and high-end drape.

  • The Fit: 16 inches with a 2-inch extender.

  • The Metal: High-quality 14K Gold Filled finishes.

  • The Vibe: Luxury, unique, and modern.

Care for Silk-Knotted Jewelry: To maintain the beauty of your hand-knotted piece, follow the "last on, first off" rule—apply perfumes, lotions, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry. To clean, gently wipe the pearls with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid submerging in water or using harsh chemicals, as moisture can weaken the silk thread over time. Store your necklace flat to prevent the silk from stretching.

Care

At Sarah Cornwell, we craft our jewelry with care and intention, using quality metals, gemstones and pearls designed for lasting beauty. Proper care will help your cherished pieces maintain their sparkle for years to come.

GENERAL CARE TIPS FOR ALL JEWELRY:

  • Storage Matters: When not being worn, store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight container. A plastic bag is ideal for this purpose.
  • Avoid Water Exposure: All jewelry is waterproof, but it’s not mineral or chemical proof. Minimize exposure to pools, saunas, and beaches. The minerals and chemicals in these environments can cause oxidation.
  • Limit Contact with Products: It's best to avoid sunscreens, lotions, oils, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body washes and perfumes. The chemical additives in these products can affect the metal's finish. It’s always best to remove your pieces if there is a possibility of coming into contact with any additives.
  • Remove During Activity: To prevent damage, remove your jewelry before working out or sleeping.
  • Handle with Care: Be mindful when handling your jewelry to avoid scratches or impacts.
