Consultation
Book a complementary consultation with one of our makers to discuss your vision, timeline, budget and learn about the details of our custom jewelry process.
Appointments can be booked online using the form below.
Design
Once both parties agree to move forward, our team will begin the process by reviewing design concepts, researching materials, costs, and time frames to build out a proposal for your custom piece.
At this time a standard deposit of $300 will be collected.
Production
During production, you will have the opportunity to approve all project specifications, CAD or design sketches and try on wax models if applicable. Once final adjustments have been made and approved, fabrication of the final piece begins.
At this time 50% of the total cost will be collected.
Delivery
Your custom jewelry piece is ready to be loved and worn for years to come! You can pick up your finished product in store or have it delivered right to you.
At this time, final balance is due before delivery or pick up.

How long does the custom jewelry process take?
What is the cost of a Sarah Cornwell custom jewelry piece?
Our custom jewelry pieces range in price depending on metals, gemstones and labor. In order to begin the design process we require a $300 non-refundable deposit. You’ll receive a final quote for your approval prior to the creation of your piece. Payments are collected on the following schedule:
1. A $300 non-refundable deposit - Due after initial consultation, when both parties agree to move into the design phase.
2. 50% of total project cost (less $300 deposit) is due on approval of materials, design and any relevant CAD or wax models.
3. Remaining balance - Due at pick up or before the project is shipped.
What metals does SCJ offer for custom pieces?
We work with 14K Yellow or White Gold and Platinum.
How do I book my free consultation with a maker?
You can book a complimentary consultation with one of our makers by filling out our custom jewelry inquiry form or calling the Sarah Cornwell Doylestown store directly at 267-461-5000.
Do you accept returns on custom jewelry pieces?
We do not accept returns on our custom jewelry pieces.
What should I bring to my initial maker consultation?
For your maker consultation we recommend bringing any inspiration photos or sketches with you. If you are interested in having a piece redesigned or repurposed, bring all materials, stones or jewelry pieces with you for evaluation.
Do you only repair Sarah Cornwell pieces?
We can assess all Sarah Cornwell pieces, regardless of age, and we will happily examine any non-Sarah Cornwell pieces to determine if we are able to repair them. While we strive to assist our customers with repairs of all kinds, it is not always possible for us to repair every piece. We do not repair watches or replace watch batteries.
Do you work with customers remotely?
We are able to offer virtual consultations throughout the design process making it simple to design a custom piece with us from anywhere. Additional fees may apply due to the need to ship materials back and forth, along with the necessary insurance to protect your investment in transit.
Can I cancel my custom job?
Unhappy with the proposed design? Your $300 deposit covers the design and research needed to create your proposal. This deposit is non-refundable. If you have changed your mind after reviewing your final proposal, you may cancel your custom job without paying additional fees. We cannot cancel custom jobs once they are in production.
