Iris Iolite Knotted Necklace
Description
The Iris Iolite Knotted Necklace | A Legend in Deep Violet
The Iris Iolite Necklace is for the woman who loves a piece with a story to tell. Made by hand in our Doylestown studio, this necklace features iolite in its signature deep violet-blue—a stone famously known as the "Viking’s Compass." Legend states that ancient seafarers used thin slices of iolite to locate the sun on overcast days, allowing them to navigate the vast North Atlantic.
Each gemstone is varied in hue, mimicking the effortless, lived-in feel of your favorite denim. Because iolite reveals different shades of blue and violet from different angles, it requires skilled cutting to truly showcase its depth. We've individually knotted these stones on navy silk, creating a seamless, tonal look that emphasizes the richness of the indigo palette.

GENERAL CARE TIPS FOR ALL JEWELRY:
- Storage Matters: When not being worn, store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight container. A plastic bag is ideal for this purpose.
- Avoid Water Exposure: All jewelry is waterproof, but it’s not mineral or chemical proof. Minimize exposure to pools, saunas, and beaches. The minerals and chemicals in these environments can cause oxidation.
- Limit Contact with Products: It's best to avoid sunscreens, lotions, oils, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body washes and perfumes. The chemical additives in these products can affect the metal's finish. It’s always best to remove your pieces if there is a possibility of coming into contact with any additives.
- Remove During Activity: To prevent damage, remove your jewelry before working out or sleeping.
- Handle with Care: Be mindful when handling your jewelry to avoid scratches or impacts.
