Description

The Golden Hills Turquoise Necklace | A Rare Earth Treasure

We were so lucky to have found a limited amount of these special, rare strands - a true testament to the earth's ability to create art. Exclusively mined from the Altyn Tyube mine in Kazakhstan, this turquoise is only accessible during a short mining season before freezing winter conditions set in, making each piece remarkably exclusive.

Unlike traditional varieties, Golden Hills Turquoise is celebrated for its extreme chemical purity and a mesmerizing icy pastel periwinkle blue hue. Each necklace features a hand-selected stone that balances "celestial" blue tones with a striking, earthy reddish-brown or chocolate-colored matrix.

  • The Stone: Authentic, chemically pure Golden Hills Turquoise.

  • The Design: A single stone necklace, wire-wrapped by hand for a personal, artisanal touch.

  • The Length: Approximately 16 inches long.

  • The Metal: Finished in high-quality 14K Gold Filled.

  • The Vibe: Rare, calming, and visually striking.

Why we love it: This necklace is a true collector's piece. The rare blue tone is unlike any other turquoise, offering a "cooling" energy that grounds the wearer. Because each stone is unique and wire-wrapped by hand, no two necklaces are exactly alike, making your piece as unique as the story it tells.

Care

At Sarah Cornwell, we craft our jewelry with care and intention, using quality metals, gemstones and pearls designed for lasting beauty. Proper care will help your cherished pieces maintain their sparkle for years to come.

GENERAL CARE TIPS FOR ALL JEWELRY:

  • Storage Matters: When not being worn, store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight container. A plastic bag is ideal for this purpose.
  • Avoid Water Exposure: All jewelry is waterproof, but it’s not mineral or chemical proof. Minimize exposure to pools, saunas, and beaches. The minerals and chemicals in these environments can cause oxidation.
  • Limit Contact with Products: It's best to avoid sunscreens, lotions, oils, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body washes and perfumes. The chemical additives in these products can affect the metal's finish. It’s always best to remove your pieces if there is a possibility of coming into contact with any additives.
  • Remove During Activity: To prevent damage, remove your jewelry before working out or sleeping.
  • Handle with Care: Be mindful when handling your jewelry to avoid scratches or impacts.
