Care

At Sarah Cornwell, we craft our jewelry with care and intention, using quality metals, gemstones and pearls designed for lasting beauty. Proper care will help your cherished pieces maintain their sparkle for years to come.

GENERAL CARE TIPS FOR ALL JEWELRY:

  • Storage Matters: When not being worn, store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight container. A plastic bag is ideal for this purpose.
  • Avoid Water Exposure: All jewelry is waterproof, but it’s not mineral or chemical proof. Minimize exposure to pools, saunas, and beaches. The minerals and chemicals in these environments can cause oxidation.
  • Limit Contact with Products: It's best to avoid sunscreens, lotions, oils, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, body washes and perfumes. The chemical additives in these products can affect the metal's finish. It’s always best to remove your pieces if there is a possibility of coming into contact with any additives.
  • Remove During Activity: To prevent damage, remove your jewelry before working out or sleeping.
  • Handle with Care: Be mindful when handling your jewelry to avoid scratches or impacts.
