Designing jewelry has taught me an important lesson…details matter.
As I sit in my maker studio, surrounded by shimmery gemstones and freshwater pearls, I’m reminded of the deep importance of attention to detail in my designs. Every tiny bead and finding, every facet in a gemstone, every delicate curve of a pearl, and every polished stone tells a story, contributing to a piece’s overall allure.
Paying attention to details requires being present, fully engaged, and deeply observant. The act of paying attention to details allows me to appreciate the beauty in the small things and to create with intention and love. It also allows me to slow down and breath.
In our rushed world, we are overstimulated and the pressure to produce is drilled into us every day. There is a sense of solace in slowing down and paying attention to the beauty found in the details of design. Sitting quietly, letting my mind slow, and focusing on patterns and colors, is a true gift.
As much as details are important, stepping forward with intention is just as important. Slowing down and being intentional ensures that every aspect of a design comes together to create genuine beauty and functionality.
Slowing down to soak in the details and taking a deep breath while stepping forward with intention…this is what allows us to create pieces that resonate deeply with our customers, creating beautiful connections, and adding to YOUR story.
