In the next couple of weeks we will be releasing our new Spring & Summer 2017 Collection! We’ve been busy with preparations and were lucky enough to hold our photo shoot at Doylestown Flowers & Gifts. This is a lovely boutique flower shop located just miles from our home studio, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location to shoot!
Doylestown Flowers & Gifts is owned and operated by Monica Andris and her daughter, Meghan Andris-Lindenmuth. They have been collaborating and growing the business for the past 6 years.
Monica credits her mother’s talent and her own passion for flowers as inspiration for getting involved in this venture. Her mother was a seamstress who made wedding gowns from a small bedroom in their home. It was that entrepreneurial spirit that sparked the initiative to jump on the opportunity to own her own flower shop. Meghan was a pre-school teacher previous to joining her mother in the business.
Together they have worked to create a boutique flower shop that aims to please those who have an appreciation for quality, care, and the use of premium, unique blooms. The shop services individual customers, as well as the wedding and event industry.
The two take pride and great care daily in choosing their blooms from the vast varieties available throughout the world, inspiring their creative flow. Meghan, as the shop’s wedding/event coordinator, says she enjoys making every couple feel her focus and passion for fulfilling their vision of their very special day.
The future hope of this team is all about continuing to expand and develop their particular style in their Bucks County hometown and throughout the tri-state area they currently serve.
SCJ has enjoyed working with these lovely ladies and vise versa:
“We appreciate Sarah’s entrepreneurial drive while remaining dedicated to her family. Sarah is a lovely person, and her designs have a simplistic beauty as well as versatility. The care with which each piece is designed and created is evident, and the result is beautiful,” said Meghan.
If you live in Bucks County or close by, make sure to stop by and say hello to Monica and Meghan at Doylestown Flowers & Gifts!

First and foremost, it is our intent to create jewelry that makes our customers feel confident in themselves. We want them to feel fearless and beautiful all day, every day.
We don’t just purchase all of our materials online. Instead we take the time to handpick our gemstones and freshwater pearls in person, to ensure that we’re only providing you with the best ones.
When designing our jewelry we like to give our pieces a surprise design twist, such as an asymmetrical pattern or a gemstone in an unexpected place. We like to shake things up a bit!
We have a true passion for wanting to understand our customers . We always make it a habit to go out of our way to make sure our customers are happy with the pieces they purchase from us.
Our awareness of style trends keeps our jewelry designs fresh. However, we don’t like to stick too close to the trends, as some styles are timeless and we want you to stand out!
Even if our customers purchase only a small pair of earrings, we treat it like our most expensive pearl necklace. We create each piece with the same amount of dedication and hard work, because we truly believe our customers deserve the best.
We understand that sometimes you may fall in love a piece of jewelry, but that there is one small detail that you would prefer were different. If you let us know what you want to change, we will try our hardest to make it happen.
Even our kids love our designs, and you know how picky kids can be!
SCJ was founded in 2001 and we’re still going strong!
As we said before, we want you to stand out from the crowd! So when you wear our jewelry, you’re practically guaranteed a compliment!
Picking out gifts for all occasions can be difficult, but when gifting our jewelry you can feel rest assured that the recipient will love our special designs.
We believe in keeping our team tight-knit and in always crafting the jewelry ourselves. This keeps us from getting too caught up in the big picture, and it allows us to focus on the small things, like the hand-stamped details on your necklace.
You have a PTA event at your kid’s school? Wear SCJ. You have a work meeting at 1pm? Wear SCJ. You’re having drinks with friends? Wear SCJ! Our jewelry is created for the everyday woman. We know life can be chaotic, and we want you to always feel confident and beautiful. This is why we design our pieces to fit every occasion life throws your way.

Are you free the weekend of September 10-11th? If so, come join as at the 25th Annual Doylestown Arts Festival!
The Doylestown Arts Festival has been a celebration of the considerable arts community in the area since 1991. As such, Sarah Cornwell Jewelry has attended the festival for 5 years in a row! It is one of our favorite events to attend, because it is located in the town we grew up in. For us, attending this festival is one of the ways we like to show our hometown pride and our support for other local artists. We love to see the familiar faces of friends and family, as well as new ones we hope to get to know!
This year, we hope you can come and join the fun! The festival is a great way to kick off the fall season and enjoy the last few days of warm weather. Celebrate with your family and friends, enjoy food, live music, and the work of 160 artists (us being one of them)!
If you do decide to come, make sure to stop by our booth and say hello! We are Booth #28, which is located on State Street near the Doylestown Inn and main festival food court.
Pieces from our Spring/Summer 2016 collection are still available, as well as pieces from our newly launched Fall/Winter 2016-17 collection! Check out some of our jewelry below!

If you have taken a stroll through the streets of Doylestown, PA lately, you may have noticed a lovely boutique called Lotus. The shop sits conveniently on East State Street, right next to Nonno’s Coffee Parlor. Recently, those of us at SCJ had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the owner of Lotus, Erin McLaughlin, on the photo shoot of our Spring/Summer 2016 jewelry collection. Erin helped showcase the jewelry, by kindly providing the clothing for our models, as well as styling them. We just fell in love with her shop, and Erin was so enjoyable to work with that we felt it only appropriate to introduce her to you!
Erin opened Lotus Apparel & Home about 3 and half years ago, after working in retail for over 20 years, as a manager and buyer. Her experience was gained in the same retail space where Lotus is located today. When the previous owner decided to close up shop, Erin saw it as the perfect opportunity to open a shop of her very own.
The inspiration for her career choice came from watching her mother while growing up, who is an avid lover of fashion and has always had a great sense of style. As one of 7 children, the middle of 5 girls, Erin looked to fashion as a way to express her individuality. Her personal style, which she describes as a, “mix of edgy and feminine with a bit of bohemian,” can definitely be seen reflected in the style and look of Lotus.
For Erin, Lotus has been more than just a shop, it has been a new beginning. As Lotus means “new beginning,” the success of the shop has been symbolic of the fresh start she was hoping for. She thanks the encouragement and support from her family and friends, as well as loyal customers and other local business owners for Lotus becoming what it is today.
Erin likes to start her day at Lotus by checking her email and grabbing a coffee from Nonno’s. The shop is open 7 days a week, so most days you will find Erin there, but her mom, Jane, is occasionally there to offer a helping hand. When Erin isn’t running the shop floor, she is always on the hunt for new clothing and jewelry pieces to offer at Lotus. Erin says,
“When buying for Lotus, I look for well made clothing from both well known designers, to small up and coming designers. I don’t purchase any clothing through catalogs or emailed line sheets, as I like to see everything up close and feel the fabrics. I purchase items I’m hoping customers will grab out of their closets on a regular basis and feel great wearing them.”
As for what can be expected of Lotus in the future, Erin says she is one to live more in the present. She thinks she might want to open another Lotus one day, maybe near the beach, but is perfectly content for the moment with her small shop in Doylestown, as she loves the town and the people in it.
Make sure the next time you’re in town, to go and introduce yourself to Erin and to look out for some SCJ jewelry at Lotus! The shop is located at:
8 East State St
Doylestown, PA 18901
In the meantime, you can check out her shop here!
